Could the picture above be Ducati’s 2012, 1200cc new Superbike?  From the information we gathered , around Europe the bike shown also known as “-Square” , is a Square 1200cc V-Twin that is bored 12 mm from the 1198 rotated counterclockwise that will allow the bike to have a shorter chassis and fork. Other rumored info’s are the Horsepower said to be 20 more , and weight reduced around 10KG thanks to the new monocoque chassis that complements the air box, and by using the engine as a stressed member together with the swing arm pivots directly bolted on it.

The picture shown is a Ducati ST1200 concept by Luca Bar Design, which draws inspiration from the Multistrada 1200, and shows that Ducati could make a convincing sport-tourer that could share heavily from the common parts bin, thus making it a cost-effective model. Let’s hope Ducati will consider a comeback model of the ST1200 and making this a model that would fill up the gap for the sports tourer in their lineup.

Ducati Diavel photo’s and video has surfaced. The shown bike is said to be packed with 162 horsepower, 94 pound-feet of torque and weights around  456 pounds for the base version. For Carbon lovers Ducati also is planning a Diavel Carbon version that makes use of plenty of carbon fiber that is much lighter than the base model.

Besides the big power plant the Diavel also comes loaded with a lot of technology. There’s a ride-by-wire throttle system, traction control, anti-lock brakes, a keyless ignition and a tank-mounted, light-sensing TFT display . The most obvious part of the Diavel is of course the pricy 240 millimeter-wide tire, Not only it looks awesome we bet it gives tonnes of grip for the launch!!

Ducati has received a trademark with the UK Intellectual Property Office for the Bolognese word for devil, or “Diavel”, which according to MCN is to be the name of the company’s new performance cruiser  Interestingly enough, Ducati has not trademarked the Diavel name with the United States Patent & Trademarks Office (USPTO). However with the British government, Ducati has reserved the Diavel mark for virtually every use possible, including lifestyle items like shirts, perfume, watches, and our personal favorite: skin cleansing lotions and creams. NCR’s new Leggera 1200 Special is for sure the lightest hypermotard we have seen. With weight reduction of 57kg from the standard model is what we would call ” Less is more” Less weight more horsepower to be exact gaining 20bhp.

Based on the 1100 Hypermotard the upgraded parts majority are in titanium, the front brake in ceramic-carbon and the bodywork in carbon-fibre.

Engine work includes new bigger-bore cylinders, NCR race cams, titanium valves, and magnesium engine covers, yielding 110.2bhp. and A short MotoGP-style exhaust.

The bike is priced £87,800. A hefty price to pay but who says weight lost program that works is cheap??
